Special guest is our long-time friend, Lee Jarvis (London, UK). As most HotDisher’s know, Lee brings his own brand of heat and passion every time he’s in Minneapolis. He’s no doubt become a HotDish favorite, with multiple requests for his return around town, and we get to snatch him when we want due to a jello spanking deal and a beer boot….don’t ask. If your not familiar with Lee’s work with Moochin London, Fat Records, Freerange Records, and now his new imprint Vizual Records…you best ask som-body.
Opening the spot is hometown hero, Bryan Gerrard. Bryan needs NO introduction in Minneapolis. This is Bryan’s second showing at HotDish. We’ve been trying to nab him since the last time he played and we’re lucky to have him back. His “House Proud” night has shot through the roof and can easily be called one of the Twin Cities best house night (we’re biased about HotDish being the best but what the hell do we know?). BAM…..GERRARD IS BACK!
We must also note that this show will be the return of Nate Laurence to HotDish. The support that has gone out to him has been amazing and he’s taking his health challenges head on. He’s ready to return and rock the spot the best he can after a terrible bout with hearing loss and other challenges. Come show your support. And per usual, he’ll be shown up by J Matthews. It’s a HotDish “reunion” not to be missed!

2) Email us at info@hotdishmpls.com with your full name and we will put you on the list for $1 off (make sure you send your full name and get it to us by Noon on Saturday. The door person checks IDs).
3) For groups of 5 or more, get $2 off per person. You must send us your list by Noon on Saturday of you and all of your group’s names. Send to info@hotdishmpls.com and make sure you give full first and last names because the door person checks IDs.

Did you make it to the last show? Thank you so much if you did. That was some serious business and we had maximum capacity in the club and almost in our hearts (Awwww). It was great to see all those smilin faces and everyone enjoying themselves.
For this coming party, we got a little something different and fun for you. We are going to celebrate two first:
1.) Chris Grant - Flapjack, Lingo Recordings, http://djchrisgrant.com/ – Chicago, IL.
This is Chris’ first appearance at HotDish and its long overdue. A veteran DJ and Producer from Chicago, Chris knows about the funk. He knows whats up with the party people and the music to be had. So get on up, or down and welcome him Saturday Dec 3rd.
2.) This is HotDish’s first legit photo party. So make sure you got your hair did, and your fresh gear on. We are gonna have some fun with this so make sure you join in and get your picture taken, HotDish style!

Brownie - Fricken right son! From the Detroit Ninja Academy (and recently House face melting terror squad), we got Minneapolis’ very own Brownie! Recently at house proud, Brownie stepped in and brought an already bumpin crowd to mass hysteria. We are happy to have him back and know you will too.

The 2 year anniversary came and went and OMG, WHAT A PARTY! For those of you who were there, you can attest to how live it was all night. Great people, awesome dance floor, and exceptionally good music. If you were not there, we understand. You dont like to have fun, and thats cool with us. But if you ever change your mind and want to party, we would be so excited to have you.
Also, Nate and I want to give a HUGE thanks to all of you that have supported us for the past 2 years. We will let you in on a little secret….We love all of you and cant wait to see your smiling faces on the dance floor each month!!!

How Much? They are $18
Where can I buy it? They will only be on sale at the 2 Year Anniversary show that is this Saturday 9/3 at the Record Room of First Avenue Nightclub. Make sure you enter the Record Room Door.
Do you anticipate selling all of them? Yes, we have seen a big demand from a lot of people and currently that demand exceeds the supply we have. So if you really wanna get this on your body, GET THERE EARLY!!
What color and size choices do you have? These are available ONLY in Large and ONLY in yellow fabric with black ink.
Will you be selling more online or at other shows? No, this is a limited edition T Shirt intended for the die hard HotDish’ers out there.
What if I am not able to go because I am out of town or am performing somewhere else in the city? If you are not in town, or giggin another joint, hit up either J Matthews or Nate Laurence on FB to let us know this. We are trying to do our best to keep everyone happy and able to get this shirt so we will do our best.
Are J Matthews and Nate Laurence available to come over to my house and cook me dinner? Maybe. J Matthews and Nate Laurence are known to rock a mean HotDish and if you want some in your next party, give us a shout! 
Where has Jack The Snowman been? Its summer and the weather hear doesnt really agree with Jack so he has been chillin it at the North Pole till it starts to cool down. We reached out to him to see if he could make a special appearance and havent heard back yet, but you never know. He might show, he is mysterious like that.

HotDish has been at it for two years now and each show has coagulated into a local movement with unmistakable energy in an intimate setting. Their TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY BLOWOUT is sure to impress! They’ve dug in their couch cushions and pockets to bring a true icon of dance music, Lady D (Chicago, IL – D’Lectable Music) to showcase the occasion.
Lady D got her start in A&R with AfterHours Records where she was responsible for giving Kaskade his career and signing other huge well-known artists. She has appeared on such labels as BlackJack, Vista, Body Music, and her own imprint, D’Lectable. HotDish hosts include Nate Laurence (www.natelaurence.com) and J Matthews (dj-jmatthews.com). Though they have often been under the radar to many, they are both true soldiers in the underground dance culture and have been since the early 90′s. Nate is a rave-era veteran, an intoxicated DJ, and one of the most respected producers globally with releases on more than a dozen labels. He’s provided remixes for the likes of DJ Dan, Chuck Love, the Inland Knights, and Bryan Jones, all while holding a national/international gig rotation for the past six years. Nate is also the owner of a new record label (with philanthropic objectives), Pluralistic Records (www.pluralisticrecords.com). J Matthews (also a rave-era DJ) is the gel of the duo. He hosts his own radio show “Funk Yeah FM” on Chicagohousefm.com and is a staple that has showcased his talents at high-profile venues including First Avenue, Quest, and the long-running “Bump” at the Phoenix Landing in Boston, MA.

July 2, 2011 we bring you two international superstars from opposite ends of the continental US: Jevne (Minneapolis, MN) and Atnarko (Orlando, FL). The pre-heat brought to you by your hosts, J Matthews and Nate Laurence!
Atnarko
Atnarko’s own sleek productions—which he describes as “funky and fun”—have been pressed for underground imprints like Nightshift Recordings, Tango, Lowdown and Robsoul . He joined Patrick Turner for “Explicit Theory” and has worked with folks as varied as drum ‘n’ bass eradicator AK1200 and house-diva DJ Heather. His collaborations with British house-legend Huggy as “Formidable Force” for the 2020 Vision label has indeed landed in the record crates of the world’s top house DJs who prize their quirky, yet floor-movin’ vibes. Atnarko has licensed tracks to over many comps including OM, Fabric, Street Beat, Fat City and more. He’s also an in-demand remixer and well travelled club DJ who wants nothing more than to drop a groove down your spine (and inspire a smile on your face). Atnarko also co-owns EIGHT-TRACKS, a vinyl based label dedicated to releasing conceptual house music with a post-modernist—read: subversive—slant.
Jevne
Jevne (you all know the man), known for playing live bass guitar along with his dj sets, Jevne has really set him self apart! Jevne has been mixing and playing bass for over 17 years and fuses live six string bass guitar with original house music & edits while in the mix! Onethirty (Jevne’s label) flows threw house, deep house and teky grooves made to make people move & expand there musical minds. Jevne’s production has appeared on many respected labels & compilations including: Jay-J’s label Shifted music, Johnny Fiasco’s Klassik Fiasco, Urban Torque, Soulman Music, Ospina Digital, Open Bar, Eighth Dimension, Conya, Coastline, Chillin, Kolour, Revival, Clubstar, Native Soul and more. His tracks have been remixed by the talents of Chuck Love, Tony Thomas, Fred Everything, Manuel Tur, Asad Rizvi & Justin Martin to name a few. In the past 5 years Jevne has consistently traveled the world over playing live bass guitar along with his Dj sets, his talents have brought him to parts of South America, Europe, Switzerland, Canada and all over the United States for gigs!
